Learning Journey Day

Yesterday was learning journey day.
First we went to Labrador Park for the Battlefield study tour.
First stop was the magazine (a place where ammunition is stored) with 3 doors. It was called “Magazine with 4 Doors”.

Well, the last door led to a blasted room which was closed during WWII, and only recently discovered.

Our tour guide also explained the dangers of shells, especially since Labrador Battery was so near the shore. “That steel door behind you is about a feet thick,” the tour guide says, pointing at the decomposing wooden door closest to us. “In those days shrapnel would penetrate that hard, solid door and kill soldiers inside.”

I borrowed a pen from my classmate Amir and started randomly drawing stuff. My group was brought under pavilion a few stops later. The centre of the pavilion had a mosaic of a seashell.

How apt.

Then she started talking about Amir-Piercing Shells that could drill through vessels, then explode when inside. How more of those were used compared to High-Explosive Shells at Labrador Battery.

Hilarious.

Anyway we went to Bukit Chandu Centre where we remembered the Malay Regiment that fought at Pasir Panjang. Then super cool video!

I stayed up until 4 am to chiong my two chinese essays. I had 2 hours of sleep then woke up at 6am and went to school for 12 hours until 6pm.

Today I had Math remedial with Zheng Wei (you).

Considering that I was chosen to partake in this activity only because of “Topical Assessment 1: Surds”, I was bored out of my mind for the majority of the lesson.

That was until I realised that one was able doodle on my supplementary exercise without Zheng Wei (you) realising that I realised.

Anyway at the end of the lesson, Zheng Wei (you) said that I didn’t really need to come for remedial after all.

Yay.

Wait.
Does that mean that remedial is a waste of time and I don’t need to come anymore, or does that mean that remedial is a waste of time and I need to come because I’m not putting my brain to good use?

I hope I realise soon.
